The Community Foundation of Broward's Center for Nonprofit Excellence, established in 2022, empowers local nonprofits through training, grants, and resources to enhance their impact and sustainability. It serves as a hub for capacity building, leadership development, and collaboration, strengthening Broward's nonprofit sector.
Broward County’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, established in 2018, provides gap financing for affordable housing projects. Funded through county revenues and developer fees, it supports construction and preservation of housing for low- to moderate-income residents. As of 2022, it had financed 1,551 units across 19 projects.
